I just sent an email out to everyone who's on the wait list for The Photographers' Workshop but noticed that a lot of those emails were bouncing back (which means not everyone is receiving it) so I thought I'd post the email here too:
I've received quite a few emails from people who are wanting to give The Photographers' Workshop as a Christmas gift and from people who are still hoping to take the class themselves.
After looking at my schedule (And being able to clear a few big things from my calendar!) I decided I can open a few more auditing seats in the January 2011 workshop.
I know some of you may have questions about auditing so let me try to address those questions here:
I am only opening up AUDITING SEATS/$245 at this time (not regular seats) for the workshop that begins on January 24, 2011.
The ONLY difference between 'regular students' and 'auditing students' is that I do NOT evaluate Assignments or Photo Critiques for auditing students. (There are NO OTHER differences between 'regular students' and 'auditing students'.) Auditing students can ask me questions, correspond with other students on the forum, read/print all 45 lessons & 9 assignments, view all of the evaluations I write for 'regular students', etc.
I think one of the biggest benefits of auditing is that you can work at your own pace. Then, if you decide you want a telephone consult with me to review/evaluate your work, ask additional questions you didn't ask during the workshop, etc. you can schedule it when you feel you're ready ($150 per hour.) Whereas, 'regular students' have a set schedule for turning in their Assignments and Photo Critiques.
So the choice to register as an 'auditor' ends up being a great option for a lot of students. (I also want to note that the cost to audit is $245 and if you decide later to schedule a telephone consult for $150, you will have paid a total of $395, which is the same price a 'regular student' pays.)
And I've redesigned the entire website which launches with with my next workshop so I'm particularly excited about the January 2011 class!!!
If you'd like to register as an auditor (or register someone else as a Christmas gift) just go to www.snapshotsofagoodlife.com, select 'photography classes' and then 'register for a class'. The site accepts Visa, Mastercard and Paypal and payment is due in full in order to reserve your seat.
Hope that answers everything (but if it doesn't, just leave your question in the comments section.)
And I wouldn't dare leave you without a picture...
Yay! I got an auditing seat! I got an auditing seat! :D

I saw on your site that you have access to the message board/ post board for a year after taking the class. So if you did the auditing class, you'd have a chance to do those assignments over the course of that year? Just checking.

Sarah - Each class runs for 10 weeks and I make myself fully available to students during that 10 weeks. After the class is over, the message board stays open for 24 months so you'd continue to have access to the site during that time except I am not available to answer questions after the class ends. So yes, you could continue to work on your assignments at your own pace but again, I do not evaluate assignments for auditing students so if you wanted your work evaluated, you'd want to schedule a telephone consult with me when you were ready for it ($150 per hour.) Hope that answers your question!
