Awesome! Love the pay it forward thing. At our local Tim Horton's it went on all day.

My husband and I just upgraded our Canon Rebel to the T2i with a kit lens of 18-135mm lens with a lens hood, any advice on this camera? Wanting to really get into taking decent pics, I have taken two classes so far, but with my old canon. So excited to get it looking forward to using it for the holidays.

I've heard of people paying for the car behind them in a drive-thru line. When paying for my groceries I'll buy 2 packs of gum and let the cashier pick one. It's always so fun to see the look on their faces when they realize it's for them.

I read Where the Red Fern Grows to my 8 year old son last year, and sobbed so hard during the last chapter I could barely read. He was so sweet, patiently waiting for me to compose myself throughout the chapter. He loved the book too.

Over the weekend we did some shopping. My husband saw a fellow shopper with fortune cookie salt and pepper shakers and LOVED them! He's serious about Chinese food. So much so, that he has a box of chow mein tattooed on his leg. lol

He asked where in the store they got it and the fellow shopper replied that it was the last one. They had asked to make sure. Bummer dude.

We all happened to leave at the same time and as we exited, she turns to my husband and GIVES him the cookie shakers! Just like that. Bought them and gave them to him. He was stunned. He's never had that happen and didn't know what to do. lol She asked in return that we do something nice for someone else. A stranger.

Ab.so.lutely. :)

I just began homeschooling my punks - they're boys. I'm going to add Where the Red Fern Grows to my read aloud list - and I'll look up those Lemony Snicket series too.

What a great pay it forward idea? When my husband was in the military we would get people who would pay for our meal. We've also had friends pay for our meal if we've seen them in a restaurant and stopped a moment to chat. It is such a nice surprise. I love the idea of just putting some money towards someones purchase - very cool.

First of all love and stalk your blog and so glad your back ! Now I know the post about the cameras was not a reply to me, but just so happens Im shopping for a new camera as my hubby accidently donated my rebel xti to goodwill ;|
Im would love a 7D or 60D, but out of my range. So Im looking to get the T2i. Can you please recommend a lens. I know the kit one( EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS Lens )is usually not that great. What are your thoughts at this one ? Canon EF-S 55-250mm F4-5.6 IS Lens.
Otherwise , please tell me which would give me most bang for my buck.
