Hi Karen, thank you so much for all of your photography tips. I have taken your photo class in Portland and was surprised how much I learned that day! I am going to Disney soon & am wondering what is the best lens to take since I do not want to cart them all? I am worried about keeping my kids in focus while moving like on rides and such? Would you still shoot in AV mode? I am shooting with a Canon 30D and I have the following lenses: f/1.4 50mm, f/3.5 28-135mm, f/4.5 55-200mm and thinking about getting the tamron 28-75mm f2.8 before I go.

I loved the dollie story and the perfect pictures to go with it.
Really great.

Gee. My son just moved to Bellingham.
Aren't you blessed to travel all over with your business. That would be sooooo cool.

Hey Karen! Any chance you're going to teach a photography class online? Your classes are too far away for me, but I'd love to do an online class! ;)

Thank you for answering my question about the actions! I appreciate it! I'll be interested in your answer to the Disneyland question above. I am also going to Disneyland in the next couple of weeks and have been debating which lens to take and if I really need to take more than two. I am going to have to watch and see if you teach your photography class in Portland and try to catch you next time!

tehhehe the joys of learning sharing! She is soooo darn cute!!!!

Karen we had a wonderful time chatting with you tonight at Serendipity Scrapbooks. You are such a joy.

Thanks for the tips. What photo workshop did you go to again?

Thanks for answering my question about the 50mm 1.2 versus the 1.4 - I was stunned at the cost difference (which was actually $1,000, not $700). Your photos are so yummy with your 1.2, but I think I'll take your advice and grab the 1.4, and save the "extra" bucks for the 28.75. By the way, your huge post on photo questions was on my birthday...when I just couldn't think of what I wanted and my kids and husband were hounding me (in a GOOD way) about what to get me. PROBLEM SOLVED! BTW, love the pics of the little girls, really shows the dolly-territorial personality of girlie-girls!
