No word back on how the meeting went - I'm assuming I'll hear something early next week.
Good news is, Josh is coming home today.
Other good news is that my Mom is coming over to help pack kits, so I'll definitely have the kits for "Snapshots of a Good Life" available on Monday.
I love the project (it's really different from the type of stuff I normally do in class).
It's a 5x7 chipboard album. The front cover is a frame and the back cover has an easel on it - so it's perfect to have sitting out on a coffee table, or in your scrapbook room, or in your little girls room. I'm hoping (if I can get motivated early enough) to make a bunch of them as Christmas gifts this year.
It's got scalloped pages and transparent pages and pages made from back to back photos. The class calls for six 5x7's, sixteen 4x6's and six-twelve wallet sized photos, but you can add way more photos if you want to.
Everything in the kit is black & cream, so you completely customize the color of your album with the colors of acrylic paint that you choose (I used a pink, aqua and lime green), but I can imagine using different shades of pink or different shades of blue for a baby shower gift or customizing the color to match your family room.
And there's a CD that walks you through every step of the class visually (plus it's got all the layouts/samples I normally show during class).
There's about $42.00 in retail product in each kit (I'll post all the contents of the kit and more pictures when I get some time).
Anyhow, I'll give away a kit sometime Tuesday morning - just leave a comment.
And if you don't want to wait for the drawing, you can order one now (just Paypal $45.00 US/Canada and $55.00 International to karencrussell@charter.net - make sure that you include the "c" in between my first and last name, otherwise it will get lost in Paypal land and make sure you include the kit you want: "Snapshots of a Good Life").
And thanks a ton for all the comments/insight/humor/etc. yesterday (it was much needed and much appreciated).
And a few pictures of the album.
I think you're teaching this class in a couple of weeks in Texas?? I SOOOOOO wanted to go, but I'm not going to be able to make it. I'm devastated!!
