There was a magazine call awhile back for layouts using only basic supplies (cardstock, patterned paper, stickers, etc.)
And so I think to myself, I'm up for a challenge. Spent the next several hours in a cold sweat going through embellishment withdrawls (like a bad crack-habit).
I love you simple scrapbookers. Love your use of white space. Love the magic you can cook up with a piece of cardstock and a photo. I am in awe of you all.
I on the other hand, have a fear of white space.
So here it is, my meager attempt at simplicity.
(and NO, the magazine didn't pick it up).
might not be a magazine editor but I love the layout :) T

I can so relate. I love those albums where people make so little look like so much...I keep putting it on like extra frosting on the cake, nothing necessary just makes me feel better.
Thanks for sharing.

Karen--love this layout! I love the simple look too, but much like you, never seem to be able to keep it simple myself. Wondering where you got the number "5" for this one--I've seen you use other large numbers on some other l/o you've posted. Also, for the border of the paper--is that another Fiskars border punch?
Loving that your products are part of Jenni Bowlin's kit this month--such a treat!
