Another big sentimental girl here. I still have a box of treasures from when my oldest was in pre-school including his graduation cap - made out of paper. And he is celebrating his 24th birthday in a couple months.

Love the sentimental stuff. Sometimes happy or sad it feels so good to go back and look or hold those things. I have many and cherish each of them in their own way.

I just have to share my story when I read about your magnolia tree: When we got our first teeny-tiny home my dh and I planted a magnolia tree (it was really small because we couldn't really afford much) because I love them so. We had to care for it so much in our super hot desert climate but it slowly started to grow and get more leaves and even some blooms all while we were eating peanut butter & jelly for dinner and whatever else we could to save money for a home we could grow old in. When we finally got to go in search of our new home, we knew we had found the perfect one when we spotted a huge magnolia growing in the backyard. Somehow that represented our dreams finally coming true, at least to me.
The only regret we have is that we didn't try to move that tree with us because we later saw that the current owners weren't putting the time and effort that little tree needed to survive.
Thanks so much for being such an inspiration!
