Still buried up to my eyeballs in this proposal, but had to take a minute to post this.
About 6 months ago, Ross & 3 of his friends decided that they were going to form a little band and play in the Trojan Follies talent show at their middle school.
But as the date got closer, the band started dwindling in number.
So last night, Ross got up in front of several hundred people by himself to play guitar and sing "Out of Sight" by Floater (a somewhat local band out of Eugene, Oregon).
It was a huge deal. Ross is not a daring kid - never has been. He's never been the type of kid that I had to worry about getting into too much trouble. Have never had to worry about him doing daring stunts, never had to worry about broken bones or trips to the E.R. Even as a baby - he was cautious - never had to worry about him standing on chairs or getting into things he wasn't supposed to. He's just they type of kid that has always played it safe.
So to see him up there on stage...I don't even have the words to describe it (other than the butterflies in my stomach), but it was honestly, one of the most amazing experiences that I have had as a parent to date.
Love you Ross. And even more, I respect you tremendously.
wow...i have chills just reading this....GO ROSS!!! it must be SOOO fulfilling as a parent to watch your child pursue his PASSION....what an awesome, amazing
feeling...seriously...chills. T

Enjoy the moments for they pass all too quickly. Over the years my girls have been so brave and get up on stage like it's nothing and each time I usually cry from being so proud! Go Ross chase your dreams and you can do anything.
