ok, seriously that story is HILARIOUS!! So one I needed to hear this morning to make me smile! Made me think of Emilee (she's 7, my oldest) had a friend over not too long ago and he was talking about "hot chicks"...Emilee looks at me and asks what a "hot chick" is and before I could explain this little guy says "you know, HOT and your MOM!!".....i looked at that little boy and told him he could come over any time he wants! :) his mom about died at the story but made me feel like a million bucks!! Had to share...Have a GREAT day!!! Tanya

I have a five year old little boy that seems to have picked up cuss words from somewhere, whether from his dad's house or from me watching too much FRIENDS when he is around (which we have outlawed since it started happening)(certainly wasn't from myself or my husband since we don't even cuss when he's not around, I'm not sure, but I have the same sort of reaction as you. I want to laugh b/c it's kinda funny, but I also want to cry because my little boy shouldn't know words like that. One time I was doing something in another room (scrapping or cleaning house, I'm not sure) and he walked in and bursts out with, "What the hell are you doing?" I was so shocked. So, don't beat yourself up about it. It's a kid thing. Wesley has been catching onto which words he's not allowed to repeat and it's become less frequent.

I woke up the other day, to my THREE YEAR OLD telling his 5 year old brother, "I'm going to kick your ass." Needless to say, I laughed so hard that I nearly peed in my pants, but then I put on a stern face and addressed the issue. Found out that he had heard it on one of Daddy's video games. (Halo for the X-Box) UGH!

Oh, my goodness!!! I am so laughing! But only because your Cole is nowhere near my Cole! LOL!!! oh, he is quite the character!

Oh too funny! Thanks for the reality check.
I over heard my son telling his friend that "YES I CAN SAY JACKASS!"
He heard it on a commercial with some Zebra on it he said.

Love hearing stories like these!! The other day my 3 1/2 year old asked me what the F*&^ meant. And later told me he learned it from me. OOPS!

what a fun glimpse at the little boy behind all those cute pictures!
I knew there was a story there :)

WAY TOO FUNNY!!!! my youngest who is three, gets a real kick out of saying I'm gonna kick your ass....she knows it the "A" word, has gotten in trouble at preschool for it, but she LOVES the shock value...must learn to curb this behavior...chuckle chuckle....

Too funny! My son, 4 ½, called my daughter, who is 3, a BABE as we were getting out of the car. I have no idea where he picked that up. Kids!! Have a great day!

ok...i haven't laughed that hard in SOOOOOOOO long!!! seriously...thanks SO much for posting this...i SO needed a laugh tonight! smiles~jill

I have a six year old son, Weston, who has two older teenage sisters that love to hear him come out with things just like Cole I can totally relate. But somethimes I find myself amused by his comments and have to hide the laughter.

This just CRACKS ME UP!!! I laughed out loud when I read this (several times!).

Loved that post. Thanks for the giggles!! Loved the comment Cole made - too stinkin' funny!!

Way too cute! Don't feel too bad. I have a 16 year old daughter that does the same thing...not only does she have a 7 year old brother to do this to, she also has an 11 year old daughter who now thinks she's 16...!
thanks for letting us know we are not alone in the world of teens and siblings..:):):)

hahaha..i know it's not funny, but it seriously is cute how much he looks up to his big bro...chick magnet!! too funny!!

You've gotta love it! There's 9 years between my oldest and youngest, and, it is a proud moment when my 8 year old runs around singing lyrics from black eyed peas songs like "uh huh, uh huh my lumps, my lovely lady lumps". What is more disturbing is she seems to know all the dance moves too! LOL!

Just piping in to let you know you're not a 7 year old son and a 16 year old son. The 7 year old goes so far as to lower his voice to sound like his brother and says things like, "That's tight!" And I've heard "what the...?" with no fill-in phrase, but we all know what CAN go in there. Ai yi yi!
