Annie has been at the same school for the last four years now.
She was three when she started going there part-time.
And when it was time for her to go into Kindergarten, we decided to keep her at the same school, rather than enrolling her where Cole & Courtney attend.
And much to our surprise, they started offering a 1st grade class just as she was ready to enter the 1st grade, so we decided to keep her there for yet another year, just because the class size was so small (eight students) and because her teachers knew her and loved her in a way that we felt a 1st grader needed to be known and loved.
So we started cracking jokes about how Yans was going to someday graduate college from this same, little school that is run out of a local church just down the road from our house.
Last night was Annie's 1st grade graduation. (I didn't take my camera, so I have no photos of that.)
And though her school has now decided to offer a 2nd grade class, Josh and I made the decision that its probably time that we shook things up a bit for Annie and pushed her outside of her comfort zone, so she's going to be attending school in a neighboring town where Cole & Courtney go to school.
So this week, I spent a bit of time shooting in Annie's classroom.
Wish I could show you guys all of them (I took pictures of all of her classmates to give to their parents, but don't have permission to show those.) but I'll share a few...
Oh, and Josh has been telling everyone that Annie got in a bar fight, but that swelling in her left eye is from a mosquito bite. (She got bit in four different spots and they all swelled up to the size of a golf ball.)
Love you Yans.
