After we got home from Willow Lake, we ran Courtney Lee by her mom's place and then we went to the Medford Cruise...
Oh ya, we stopped by Dairy Queen (for Blizzards) first though.
Some nice lady that was sitting behind us asked if she could borrow my camera for a few minutes to take photos of us as the cars went by and (after deciding that I could catch her if she took off with my camera) I was happy to oblige.
And Coley took that one (and I'm in love with it).
And then he rattled off a bazillion photos of old cars passing by and made me promise that I'd post them here for all of you to see.
And he even complained that the porta-potties were ruining his composition. (That's my boy.)
And he decided that he wanted to find an old 69' Camaro for him and his dad to fix up. (His dad was hoping he'd be a Mustang-lover rather than a Camaro-lover though.)
And then he shot.
And shot.
And shot.
And shot some more.
And if I didn't already have my heart set on driving an old, blue 49' Ford Coupe one day, I'd totally drive that orange Falcon.
Love it.

You guys do the funnest stuff! It is so wonderful and makes me know I need to seek out more things like this to take my family to. :)

Today was one of my favorite posts - I LOVE classic cars and we go to the Whiskey Cafe in Lyndhurst, NJ, every Saturday night, during spring and summer and early fall. They have 50s music blaring through the speakers and the entire parking lot is FULL of cars, hundreds of them!!! I'll have to do a post myself!!!

Oh my dad had a blue ford falcon when we were growing up we called it the HOOPIE. love it. Such fun memories. I bet that lady behind you knew what it would mean to have a family action shot... She is probably a fan. And there is nothing better than getting an old care for a teenage boy and having his dad teach him how to fix it up. Today so many kids who then are men know nothing about fixing anything what so ever. Its something he will have with him forever. The time it takes, the memories, the talks and then the accomplishment of doing it will be priceless. Love it.

Did you see us cruising?? Green '67 Camero with white stripes? We would have gladly taken Cole on a lap around! We come down for that cruise every year and I watch for your adorable family. Thanks for this post! (Same one that saw you at the treehouses.)

I love those old cars! I grew up in Van Nuys, CA and people always cruised Van Nuys Blvd. on Wednesday nights.

We'd totally go to that! We didn't get to the biggest car show in the area last weekend because it poured and poured.
I'm leaning towards a 'cuda!

I was thinking about your writing when I was reading it and it made me realise that the troopd do not return to normal life immediately they are home. As always, thank you for feeling able to share the not so good times in your life with us.

Idemo vidjeti što možemo učiniti s njima sljedeći! Tada je u ponedjeljak svojim vojnicima proveo vrlo opuštajući dan kod kuće, a ja napravila dobar ol 'zastarjelu makaroni salata po prvi put.
