Well, I'm hoping to get all of my Christmas photos posted this week, but we'll see how it goes.
My sister and Annie made cookies on Christmas Eve.
My sister, serenading Annie.
And Annie washing up before getting started. (I have no idea why my sister would make such a ridiculous face since she knows I always blog them.)
Once hands are washed, I enforce a strict 'no picking your nose and no picking your seat' policy while making cookies. (Apparently my sister didn't get the memo.)
Yes, my kitchen window is that dirty and yes, our kitchen has been in a state of remodeling for over two years now.
Courtney Lee was with her mom. And the boys?...
Well, the big one brought over four loads of laundry to do.
And then he played on the piano and the computer in between loads.
And the little one?...
Well, he's more of a cookie eater than a cookie maker.
And if you're reading this Josh Downs...Name this tune...If I was a flower growing wild and free all I'd want is you to be my sweet honey bee and if I was a tree growing tall and green all I'd want is you to shade me and be my leaves.
All I want is you!!! One of my all time favorite songs!

All I want is you, will you be my bride
Take me by the hand and stand by my side
All I want is you, will you stay with me?
Hold me in your arms and sway me like the sea.

Love these shots, especially the 4th from the bottom! I love the ornament garland and 'the big one' in focus and the beautiful family bokeh behind. Lovely.
Linda
p.s.
your endings "...and if you're reading this Josh Downs..." make me cry every day. I pray for his safety and for your family.

Sweet photos of your Annie helping bake cookies, and especially love the last shot of Coley and his charming smile.

I think its funny that you have a "no picking your nose or seat" rule while making cookies--yet your daughter's bare feet and rear end are on the counter. I am SINCERELY not being judgemental here--I just find it very humorous :-)
Very lovely photos as usual.

Karen - I don't know you but I leave random msgs on your blog like I do. And I was looking at the photos thinking, "I would love to see Karen's kitchen!" So when I got to your note about reno-ing it for 2 yrs, I have to admit, I giggled. It looks amazing from what I could see in the pictures... Heidi
