1. We went up in the woods to get our Christmas tree yesterday (will post more pictures tomorrow).
2. The gal who placed the highest bid for the Photographers' Workshop is donating the money to The Turning Center (a shelter/organization for the elderly). Here's a bit of email correspondence from Laurel (the winner):
"My husband will spend his first Christmas without a parent this year. In honor of him...... Keith Witwen....I feel like we are helping someone's parents. We have spent the last 8 to 10 years taking care of our parents and now they are no longer with us. AND to add to the excitement.....my company has matched my bid so we will donating $1100!!!!!"
And another:
"I spoke with the founder of Turning Point. She was very excited to hear the news. She told me that there was so much damage from the hurricane that they have not been able to repair a roof that would house 30 homeless people and this would help a lot. I don't think I have felt so good about doing something for a very long time."
Did you catch the part that said her company decided to match the bid...so she's donating $1100?!?
So cool.
3. Josh says I'm not allowed to post pictures of him in bathrobes anymore.
4. Got some really cute hair stuff in the mail from Conni last week (she's got an
Etsy shop) - she even sent some Halloween hair stuff (Beaver's colors). Thanks Conni!
5. The gals from my current online class
'elfed' my family for Christmas (Annie made me play it over and over and
over again).
Have a great day.
Come on Josh live a little :0)
Actually I loved the top hat photo!
The Turning Center....what a perfect gift for them, and that her employer matched! What a blessed Christmas!

I'm so glad you had a good rest-of-the weekend after Friday night's class in Salem. I can't thank you enough for that class--not only was it possibly the best I've taken with you, and I loved having both my daughters there with me, but it was so therapeutic for both of them because the subject they both chose was remembering my son-in-law, who died almost two years ago. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!

That is so funny about the elfed... I did the same thing, and my 1 1/2 year old son has to watch it a hundred times a day... now I am just trying to figure out how to get that in a frame or something that he can just play it when he wants !!! So funny!!

What a fantastic gift. This gesture of giving to others is what Christmas is all about. Thank you for sharing that and thanks to the bidder who has such a big heart.

Great news about the donation... matching funds are awesome! Too bad about the robe. I thought it was great. Maybe if it were Beaver colors? Besides we didn't see anything we haven't seen before. Legs, I mean.

Josh Downs sure has those elf moves goin on! He looks better in his elf costume than the bathrobe. LOL
What a wonderful gift made possible by YOU and BETH.

I thought how "relaxed" and "civilized" Josh Downs looked in that bathrobe. And in the hats!
All of the pics were great of Josh Downs that weekend! Any ROCKSTAR would be jealous of his life of leisure!!! ha.

Pooh on Josh! You just keep right on shooting and posting. Even though he's young enough to be my son, he's a hottie!

I was just wondering about the Easy Sign Marker that you found at the antique store... I have one similar to it that I found at an antique store about a year ago, and am wondering how to make the stamps work again... do you have any suggestions?? Thanks!!
