Baby Brooke (our niece) turned five yesterday.
We had a party at her house last night.
She got an Easy-Bake oven.
And gobs of other fun stuff.
Tater-Tot is doing well post-surgery.
Annie and Grandma Jo.
Brooke and her Dad (Josh's brother).
A game of Operation (that's what we got Brooke for her birthday...nice job shopping on your own Josh Downs).
Me with Josh in a headlock (thanks for grabbing the camera Misti).
Courtney Lee and Grandpa Tom.
And that lovely little pumpkin (who won't keep her clothes on).

Okay, I have to ask.....how do you get such nice photos in such low lighting. Now that the sun sets so early, I'm having a hard time getting decent photos. Are you using an external flash? What lens? What's your secret?

What a trooper Tater is! She looks itchy. I bet that cast is miserable...

Hi Karen,
Looks like the party was a blast!! You and Josh remind me a lot of my husband and I....crazy. I love all of the photos but the one of Courtney Lee and Grandpa Tom is so sweet.
My Madigan has some sensory issues....she loves to be naked....and I do mean NAKED!! Does Taylor see an OT? Miss Madigan had to because she didn't like the way certain foods felt...so eating was an issue....well still is.

I put a youtube link of her singing jingle bells...too cute
Karen, thanks for sharing your knowledge of photography and family w/ us.
Merry Christmas,
Valerie

i have the same question as "mye"! i've got a two year old birthday party to shoot...and it of course has to be in the evening after everyone gets home from work. love the look of these...and they're not even that "noisy"! you must have an external flash of some kind?

Great photos and great headlock on Josh!
