Got a phone call this morning from my LSS owner. She was in Vegas at CHA. In fact, she was at the Creative Imaginations booth standing in front of my new release, getting ready to place her order...when I got off the phone with her it struck me just how much I wish I was there.
It's just an exciting experience. You can feel the energy everywhere. It's fun meeting new people & reconnecting with the people that you only get to see at the shows. It's cool to walk down an isle and see Heidi Swapp off to your right (I am still soooooo starstruck by her) and then walk a bit further and run into Ali Edwards & Tracy Kyle. Rebecca Sowers in the EK booth, Tim Holtz walking around, Donna Downey and Cathy Z. hanging out, seeing the Creating Keepsakes team in person. It's just cool.
And all the new products...it's enough to make a scrapbooker crazy. To see it all before it ever even hits the shelves and to feel your heart start racing thinking about what you could create with all of it if you could just get your hands on it NOW!
It's also a humbling experience as a designer. Walking around thinking "I am just a little fish in a really BIG pond".
Anyhow...not at CHA this time around. I'm at home, almost 39 weeks pregnant (super uncomfortable), sitting in front of my computer (I feel like I have hardly left this chair for the last three weeks) eating popcorn - finishing up the last of my artwork that will release at CHA Summer.
I did find this link to some of the new stuff at the show (I'm sure they'll be posting more everyday). Just a little something to get your heart racing.
Back to work for me...
