Did this layout quite awhile back - just stumbled across it again this morning. I remember finishing this one up and feeling like it really represented something significant in my life (hope that doesn't sound too cheesy). Boy, that's the power of scrapbooking though. It can make you think about things in a way you hadn't thought of before, it can give you a brand new appreciation for the things in life that really matter, it can bring you back with clarity to some of the best (and worst) times of your life. Powerful stuff.
Disclaimer; on my scrapbooking soapbox for a minute.
So why is it that scrapbooking is simply considered a "hobby"? Doesn't feel like a "hobby" to me, it feels like an art form. It's moving, it's emotional, it's a time-capsule. It isn't something that I do, it's something that I am (sorry, more cheesiness). I sign the back of my layouts, just the way an artist would sign their canvas. Nope, not a "hobby" for me.
Ok, off the soapbox and back to my real life (dishes and laundry are calling me).
You are here. Live in the moment; come to peace with the past; embrace your future; revel in it all.
